À l'origine, il y a cet homme : Pierre Legras, contemporain de Louis XIV et Dom Pérignon. Ses parents, Laurent et Agathe, lui donnent naissance en 1662 à Chouilly, aujourd'hui village Grand Cru de la Côte des Blancs. Nous sommes au cœur du XVIIe siècle. Une époque où la Cour du Roi Soleil s'enivre de ce vin atypique et hors du commun, dont la jeunesse raffole. Le Champagne n'est pas. Pas encore, mais la légende commence à s'écrire.
